Yasemin Beykont, Ph.D.

Hi! I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication in the School of Communication and the Arts at Marist College (now Marist University).

My research interests include critical advertising studies, political economy of media, meme studies, and promotional and popular culture. I am particularly interested in exploring and critiquing the ways that memes are appropriated by advertising and promotional culture.
